Winter Warmers : Adrian's Favourite Seasonal Restaurants

As winter has finally set in here in Sydney, our co-designer, Adrian shares his favourite dining experiences for the cooler months.

Nomad : Surry Hills
Recreating the regional wine tasting experience, Nomad showcases some of Australia's finest wines in a spacious yet cozy space, accented with rustic brick walls and wood pile decor. Complementing the wine is an extensive menu based around share plates. Think smoked pork empanada, slow roasted lamb and grilled heirloom carrots. Perfect for a crisp evening out spent with a group of friends.

Pizza Moncur : Woollahra
A little hidden gem in the heart of Woollahra, Pizza Moncur is a casual place to relax and unwind whilst enjoying some of the best pizza Sydney has to offer. Our recommendation, the duck option, accented with shitake mushrooms, spring onions and delectable plum sauce. And if happens to be too miserable out they'll deliver straight to you! Win win we say.

The Dandylion : Bondi
You don't have to be a vegetarian to enjoy the beautiful menu of this Bondi beauty. Offering an intimate dining experience, The Dandylion serves 100% vegetarian dishes rich in flavour and variety. The perfect setting for a romantic evening, prepare to be blown away by their signature dishes. Our favourites, the pumpkin ravioli special and the cajun seitan fajitas.

The Boathouse : Shelly Beach
The ideal venue for a sunny weekend visit, The Boathouse's newest addition has made itself at home on the picturesque Shelly Beach, on Sydney's Northern Beaches. Open for breakfast and lunch, they offer their signature gourmet, cafe style food. Beautiful breakfast options include quinoa bircher muesli and poached eggs with avocado whilst lunch is decisively angled towards mouthwatering seafood dishes. We can't get enough!

The Winter Garden : Sydney
Running until the 19th of July, the Winter Garden is a little festival set up outside St. Mary's Cathedral in the CBD, offering winter activities and entertainment as well as delicious street style food and drinks. Take a spin around the ice rink before filling up on your choice of Turkish, German or Italian cuisine or enjoy a warming hot chocolate in the European style Cafe del Mar.

Venus Wholefoods : Surry Hills
The signature winter food, soup. Take a trip to Venus Wholefoods where their daily winter soup special will blow you away. The dairy-free, vegetable based flavours will have you coming back time and time again. Some of our favourites include roasted butternut and lemongrass and lentils. Bellissimo!
